Jamie Elliott ACL rupture confirmed as Collingwood reveal trio of injuries from Scott Pendlebury record-breaking game

Late in the fourth quarter of Scott Pendlebury’s record-breaking game, Elliott went up in a marking contest, but landed awkwardly and was required to be stretchered off.
After speculation about his future, Elliott committed to being a one-club player when he signed a two-year extension in September last year to remain at the club until at least 2027.
But there are now fears the prolific goalkicker could have played his last game, with a long recovery process now awaiting him, as he turns 34 in August.

“We are all incredibly disappointed for Jamie,” Collingwood general manager Charlie Gardiner said in a statement.
«Jamie has endured a number of significant injury setbacks across his career and for him to face this latest setback is unfortunate for him and his family and for us as a Club. He’s a much loved and respected leader at our Club and we’re all feeling for him.
«We will miss his on-field presence this year but he will no doubt continue to play an important role across the Club during his recovery.»

Meanwhile, captain Darcy Moore is set for another stint on the sidelines, after suffering a moderate grade hamstring in the first half on Saturday.
The 30-year-old has struggled to get on the park in 2026, only managing four appearances in the black and white this season.
Young gun Will Hayes also suffered a dislocated shoulder in an incident in yesterday’s fourth quarter.
