That’s because she’s not a human being; she’s a dog. Air Corgi makes predictions for major sporting events by hitting an inflatable ball with her nose. From off-screen, someone throws a ball at her and she hits it down a series of stairs into a bin labeled with each of the teams. 

She predicted each of the games in the Spurs-Thunder series and so far, she is a perfect six for six. This begs the question… who does Air Corgi have as the next NBA Finals team?

This corgi has become an internet sensation for her predictions, but this level of success is a new phenomenon. So far, Air Corgi has predicted every game to a tee.

From the Spurs taking Game 1 on the road to the Thunder’s pivotal Game 5 victory, Air Corgi has been on top of it throughout the series.

The Corgi was not too far off on the Knicks vs. Cavs series either, correctly predicting the Knicks to take the first three games. She unfortunately predicted a win in six in this case, not the four-game sweep that occurred.

Who did Air Corgi pick for Spurs-Thunder Game 7?

On the first shot for Game 7, the ball fell between and avoided both baskets, requiring a second shot from the sporty dog. Perhaps this means that overtime is coming. 

With the second shot, Air Corgi believes that this will be a back-and-forth contest. First, the ball bounced off the wall next to the Thunder’s basket. Then it ricocheted along the railing next to the Spurs’ basket.

Eventually, it landed in the Spurs’ basket, meaning that Air Corgi believes the Spurs will be headed back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014. 

Who is Air Corgi?

Air Corgi, also referred to as Steph Furry for her long-range shot-making prowess, began posting videos online in the spring of 2020. At a time when many were stuck inside on their devices, Air Corgi garnered acclaim quickly for her trick shots and soon after, her predictions.

Now, the dog is known across the globe as a predictor of games and series across the sports world. She’s been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Sportscenter, among many other television and social media programs. You can question her accuracy, but you can not question her adorable fame.
