Hawthorn star Will Day set for return from injury through VFL
Hawthorn fans will be able to rest easy this weekend, following a strong win over Adelaide, and the much-anticipated return of superstar midfielder Will Day.

The 24-year-old has not been sighted since round 21 last season, due to a horrid run of injuries.
After a promising start to the 2025 season, Day’s season was derailed by injury, before he was eventually shut down due to a foot injury, ruling him out for the Hawks’ September run.
A pre-season injury and shoulder surgery has delayed his start to the 2026 season, although there is finally light at end of the tunnel, with Day set to make his return via the VFL this Friday for the Hawks’ affiliate, Box Hill.

He will suit up in the Hawks’ Friday night match at DSV Stadium against Williamstown.
Day will have two chances to work his way into the senior before Hawthorn’s bye in round 14, with the Hawks facing St Kilda next Thursday night in round 12, and then the Western Bulldogs the following Friday night.
