Jonny Clayton ends Luke Littler’s perfect 2026 record at majors, with World Series of Darts Finals win

He’s prioritized majors over Pro Tour events, but it’s worked out well, as entering this past week, he had won every major in 2026 so far, with the 2025 European Championship being the last one he didn’t win.

That unbeaten streak at majors ended on Sunday, though, as Jonny Clayton took down Littler in the quarterfinals of the World Series of Darts Finals.

Littler had two close encounters in the opening rounds, but managed to keep the streak going.

He came back against Danny Noppert and Nathan Aspinall, beating Noppert 6-4 and Aspinall 10-9.

He wasn’t as fortunate to come back against Clayton, losing 10-4 in a match where Clayton took over in the second half.

The outer ring was the story of the weekend for Littler, as he didn’t look comfortable on any of the doubles he was throwing at.

Littler can still technically go for the perfect year at ranked majors, but he’d still have to qualify for the Players Championship Finals.
