Rabbitohs ‘Whiteout’ Jersey: Souths to wear one-off playing strip to honour Jai Arrow
When NRL Round 15 team lists came out on Tuesday afternoon Jai Arrow was listed on the extended reserves for the Bunnies in a touching tribute.
Now, the club has revealed South Sydney players will wear a special ‘whiteout’ playing strip in Thursday night’s NRL clash with the Brisbane Broncos in honour of Arrow, who recently retired after being tragically diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, or MND.
The one-off playing strip will see the Rabbitohs’ usual cardinal and myrtle stripes replaced with white stripes, while sponsors have also agreed to have their logos whited-out.
In fact, the only colour on the jerseys will be the name ‘ARROW’ across the shoulders of every player in green. The jersey numbers will be black.

In a club statement Souths CEO Blake Solly said the whiteout jersey will be a permanent show of the club’s support for Arrow in his fight against MND.
“We felt it was appropriate to strip everything back for this game from our jersey, no distractions for the eye, all focus on the only colour on the jersey, which is the name ARROW in green on the back of all of our players,” Solly said.
“Jai has earned everyone’s respect at our club; at every club at which he has played including our opponents this week, the Broncos; and indeed everyone across the game and, increasingly, in all walks of life.

“He always played with passion, with heart, and a deep care for his teammates and his club.
“It’s now our turn to return that passion, heart and care to him in his fight against MND.”
The ARROW whiteout jersey will be available for purchase at the South Sydney Rabbitohs website with all proceeds going directly to supporting Jai Arrow and his family.
Arrow will also ring the Rabbitohs Legacy Bell on Thursday night as his teammates and the Broncos form a guard of honour before entering the field of play in the lead up to kick off.
