Korea Sports Leisure Expands Illegal Sports Toto Reporting Rewards

Korea Sports Leisure Co., Ltd. is offering rewards of up to 200 million won for reports of violations of the National Sports Promotion Act submitted through its Illegal Sports Toto Reporting Center. The program is designed to encourage public reporting of illegal sports gambling activity, including operators, users, and promoters of such sites.

The reporting channel is run by Korea Sports Leisure, which has been entrusted with sports promotion voting rights by the Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation. Reports can be filed through the center’s website or by phone at 1899-1119, with payments determined according to the type of violation and the outcome of the review process.

Reward Structure

The center’s reward system sets different amounts depending on the nature of the report. Illegal sports gambling operations can qualify for rewards of up to 200 million won, while game-fixing activities subject to sports promotion voting rights can bring up to 50 million won.

Other violations, including illegal sports gambling use, promotion, system design, relay and mediation, and provision of game information, can be rewarded with up to 15 million won. The structure reflects the range of conduct the reporting system is intended to capture, from large-scale operations to supporting activities linked to illegal betting sites.

Reports of illegal sports gambling sites themselves can receive up to 15,000 won per case, with a maximum of 1.5 million won per person, depending on the Korea Communications Commission’s review. In the case of illegal gambling sites that allow unlimited copying and URL generation, rewards may be limited to first-time reporters on the site.

How Reports Are Filed

The Illegal Sports Toto Reporting Center accepts reports through its website and asks users to complete an identity verification step before entering the access details of illegal sports gambling sites. That includes URL information, IDs, passwords, and recommender details, along with supporting evidence files.

The center also accepts reports on deposit accounts linked to illegal sports gambling sites. In those cases, a reward of 100,000 won can be paid per case, and there is no limit on the number of reports. The payout depends on the result of the deliberation process.

The report system is structured to handle both online gambling platforms and the financial channels that support them. By accepting account-related reports as well as site details, the center is designed to capture a broader range of activity tied to illegal sports betting.

Notification And Process

Korea Sports Leisure said reward decisions are notified by text message through LMS. As a result, people using the reporting center must enter their personal mobile phone number accurately to receive the information.

The reporting process is intended to make participation straightforward while still allowing the authorities to review cases before any reward is issued. The system’s design links user-submitted information with an official review process that determines whether a reward is due and at what level.

Public Participation Role

Korea Sports Leisure said voluntary citizen participation is key to eradicating illegal sports gambling. The company added that it will continue operating the system in order to help prevent social damage associated with illegal betting activity.

The reporting center falls within a larger strategy aimed at addressing cases of illegal gambling in sporting events through community participation. Since there are incentives for various forms of violations, the program is designed to attract more people who encounter any form of illegal operations.
