Jeju Dream Tower Casino Sales Rise 7.5% In August Despite Monthly Drop
Casino sales at South Korea’s Jeju Dream Tower reached nearly KRW46.22 billion (US$33.7 million) in August, according to a Tuesday filing with the Korea Exchange. The result represented a 7.5% increase from the same month a year earlier.
On a sequential basis, however, casino sales fell by 10.4% from July’s KRW51.59 billion. July had been the property’s strongest monthly casino-sales performance so far in 2026.
Table Games Lead Casino Revenue
Table-game sales at Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd’s foreigner-only casino at the Jeju Dream Tower resort totaled approximately KRW43.49 billion in August. That was 5.7% higher than a year earlier but 11.1% lower than July.
The monthly decline came despite a sharp increase in casino-table drop, which is the amount customers pay to purchase chips for table games. Table drop rose by 35.5% from July to approximately KRW293.78 billion in August and was 16.8% higher year-on-year.
The contrasting movement in sales and betting volume coincided with a lower table-game hold rate. The rate stood at 14.8% in August, the lowest level recorded so far this year. The ratio stood at 14.8%, which was the lowest seen thus far in the year. It was also below 16.4%, the level witnessed one year ago.
Machine Sales Continue To Grow
Gaming-machine sales at the Jeju property reached nearly KRW2.73 billion in August. The figure was 49.5% higher year-on-year and 1.4% above July’s result.
The hold ratio for gaming machines stood at 6.4% in August. This was better than 5.8% in the previous month, and 6.2% in the same month last year.
The results for machine games have increased on a year-on-year and month-on-month basis, and the hold ratio has improved on both a month-on-month and year-on-year basis.

The August figures showed different movements across the property’s casino and hotel operations at Jeju Dream Tower. Casino sales increased annually but declined from July, while hotel sales remained flat from the previous month and higher than a year earlier. The supplementary business data also recorded the property’s visitor numbers, table-game hold rate, and gaming-machine hold rate for the latest reported monthly period.
Eight-Month Casino Growth

Results Released Without Commentary
Lotte Tour provided the August business figures in its filing but did not comment on the reasons for the year-on-year or sequential changes in the reported results.
The data showed higher August casino sales than a year earlier, lower revenue than in July, stronger machine-game sales, and a lower table-game hold rate. The filing provided no further explanation. Across the first 8 months of 2026, casino and hotel sales remained above the corresponding levels from 2025.
