Jeju Dream Tower’s Casino Revenue for June Rises 36.1%

Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd recorded a year-over-year 36.1% rise in revenue for the month of June from its Jeju Dream Tower property casino, owing to improved table game hold percentage along with increased tourist arrivals. The foreigners-only casino revenue came in at KRW48.72 billion, or US$31.3 million, for the month, as per Wednesday’s submission on the Korea Exchange.

Table Games Improve

Table-game sales for June came in at just above KRW47.20 billion, up 0.4% from May and 37.4% higher than a year earlier. The table-game hold rate at the Jeju Dream Tower casino stood at 21.0% in June, slightly below May’s 22.6%, but still well ahead of the 15.7% recorded in June 2025.

That improvement in hold helped support the stronger monthly performance. June casino sales were also the second consecutive month to top the KRW40 billion mark, although they were down 1.4% from May’s KRW49.42 billion. The May result had been the strongest monthly showing in the first half of 2026.

Visitor Traffic Holds Up

The resort also saw 61,146 casino visitors in June, up 18.7% year-on-year but down 3.3% from May. The May visitor total of 63,192 had been the highest monthly figure since operations began at the site in June 2021.

The latest traffic figures suggest the property continued to draw a solid number of guests even after the peak month in May. Lotte Tour’s supplementary data show that foot traffic remained an important factor in the casino’s recent performance.

June machine-game sales were nearly KRW1.52 billion, down 37.3% from May but up 5.7% year-on-year. The gaming-machine hold rate came in at 3.7% for the month, the lowest monthly performance across the first 6 months of this year.

Hotel And Drop Figures

Jeju Dream Tower’s hotel sales for June were just below KRW8.03 billion, up 17.6% year-on-year and 7.2% sequentially. The resort’s broader property performance remained positive across both gaming and hotel operations.

Casino-table drop for June, which refers to the amount paid by customers to buy chips for table games, rose 2.5% year-on-year to about KRW224.59 billion. On a monthly basis, table drop increased 8.2%.

For the first 6 months of this year, casino-table drop reached KRW1.21 trillion, up 18.5% from the same period.

First Half of the Year Performance

For the period between January and June, total casino sales stood at almost KRW265.72 billion, which marked an increase of 36.6% on the year-on-year basis. According to Lotte Tour, this increase was caused by double-digit percentage increases in both table games and gaming machines.

Hotel sales for the first six months stood at KRW40.92 billion, an increase of 13.8% compared to last year.

There were no comments on the factors that led to such changes on a year-on-year and month-to-month basis. Lotte Tour, described as a business fully positioned for the Chinese market, has been identified by brokerage Shinhan Securities Co Ltd as a beneficiary of South Korea’s rebound in inbound tourism trade.
