Report says Browns are considering Myles Garrett trade offers from Eagles
The post-June 1 window that makes trading Myles Garrett financially feasible for Cleveland is now open. Reports of teams reaching out to the Browns are starting to emerge, but the credibility of these reports varies depending on the team involved.

Social media account Easton Butler, citing a source, reported on Sunday that the Los Angeles Rams have contacted the Browns about Garrett. They reportedly offered a «Rickey Williams-esque» type package, according to Butler on X.
He also mentioned that the Philadelphia Eagles are making a strong effort, reportedly offering wide receiver A.J. Brown and more for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.
The Eagles’ part has support from credible reporters. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini confirmed months ago that Philadelphia has «real» interest in a Garrett trade. An anonymous NFL general manager told her, «Howie’s not afraid to try stuff, and it fits where they are as a team.»
Former Browns cornerback Joe Haden also suggested a three-team deal this weekend that would send Brown to New England, Garrett to Philadelphia, and multiple first-round picks to Cleveland, according to Heavy Sports.
Why the Rams claim isn’t gaining traction from reporters covering Los Angeles
The Rams part of Butler’s report is less reliable. Turf Show Times, a fan site that closely follows Rams roster moves, reviewed the claim on Sunday night and stated directly, «As of Sunday night, there are no credible rumors that the Rams are trying to trade for Garrett.» No established Rams or Browns beat reporter has confirmed the Rams’ involvement.
What is generally accepted is the Browns’ willingness to listen to offers. Tony Grossi, a longtime Cleveland Browns insider, acknowledged that a trade «isn’t impossible.» Jason LaCanfora of SportsBoom reported that some executives around the league see Garrett’s OTA absence as a sign he regrets signing his 2025 extension with a rebuilding team.

Trading Garrett on or after June 2 saves Cleveland over $8 million in 2026 cap space compared to trading him before that date when the hit exceeds $41 million.
Garrett turns 31 in Dec and is owed $41 million guaranteed in 2027. The Browns need to act soon to get the best value.
But for the Browns to trade for a WR after just drafting two top WRs, while still paying Jerry Jeudy, would be a terrible decision. If the Browns took AJ and some picks, that’s a much better deal than sending him and getting nothing in return until 2028. It’s understandable that Howie is probably doing this because of the upcoming cap issues, but still.
The Eagles’ interest is genuine. The Rams’ involvement, as of Sunday night, has not been substantiated by credible sources covering either team, but some comments on Buttler’s post confirm that his voice can be trusted, maybe.
