After diving into the NFL world with Christmas Day doubleheaders in each of the last two seasons, Netflix now has an expanded NFL schedule, starting with the league’s first game in Australia on Sept. 10.

Netflix’s Christmas games in 2024 and 2025 were often less than competitive, but an impressive slate for 2026 should change the streaming service’s fortunes and deliver some fun moments.

How many NFL games does Netflix have this season?

Netflix is broadcasting five games in 2026, a new high mark for the streaming service.

In fact, 2026 marks Netflix’s first time broadcasting an NFL game on a day other than Christmas. Netflix hosted a Christmas Day doubleheader in both 2024 and 2025, but nothing else. While Netflix is still taking over Christmas again in 2026, the streaming service has three additional games on the docket.

Here are the five games set to air on Netflix in 2026:

Netflix will broadcast the second game of the NFL season on the other side of the world, with the 49ers and Rams facing off in Melbourne, Australia, one day after the season gets underway.

That will be it for Netflix until the NFL’s first «Thanksgiving Eve» game on Nov. 25, which also features the Rams. While this game is stateside, the Packers will travel to Southern California in what could be a pivotal NFC matchup.

Netflix will still air a Christmas Day doubleheader, broadcasting two playoff rematches: Packers vs. Bears at what could be a frigid Soldier Field and Bills vs. Broncos in their first meeting since January’s divisional round thriller.

Finally, Netflix will broadcast a Week 18 game on Saturday, Jan. 9. The NFL has placed two games with playoff implications on the Saturday before the final Sunday of the season in recent years, but this will be Netflix’s first time hosting one of those games. The matchup won’t be determined until after Week 17.

History of NFL games on Netflix

Netflix’s NFL games largely haven’t lived up to expectations leading up to 2026. The Chiefs and Ravens both won in blowout fashion as part of Netflix’s inaugural Christmas Day doubleheader, while the matchups between the Cowboys and Commanders as well as the Vikings and Lions in 2025 didn’t come with heavy playoff implications.

Based on this season’s Netflix schedule, better days are likely ahead with a slew of intriguing matchups on the docket.
