With Puka Nacua out on Monday, the veteran Adams rose to the occasion with a brilliant performance that rivals some of the best from his tremendous career.

Adams torched the Giants’ secondary, which had no answers despite being able to focus more of its efforts on him due to Nacua’s absence.

Adams was sensational for the Rams on Monday night, posting 195 yards and two touchdowns on eight catches through the first three quarters before being held without a grab in the fourth quarter.

While the NFL is often called a young man’s league, Adams’ experience as a route runner made all the difference on Monday. He put on a clinic at times against the Giants’ secondary:

The 33-year-old toyed with Giants CB Colton Hood on his second touchdown of the night:

For all of the success had Nacua over his first three-plus seasons in the NFL, he only has one game of more than 185 yards: a 225-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Seahawks last season. Adams joined him with a 195-yard, two-touchdown display, doing so without his fellow star on the field.

Davante Adams career-high receiving yards

Adams entered Monday with one 200-yard game in his career: a 206-yard performance in an overtime win over the Bengals during his final season with the Packers in 2021.

The former All-Pro recorded his fourth game of at least 190 yards, and it ensures he has a 175-yard performance with each of the four teams he’s played for in his 13-year career.

Adams’ previous high with the Rams was 106 yards, so he shattered that mark with Nacua sidelined.
