Reece Walsh has linked with NFL powerhouse the Seattle Seahawks in a deal designed to help the Broncos superstar expand his profile in the United States according to reports today form CODE Sports.

Walsh was last week unveiled as a Seahawks ambassador and was in Melbourne for the historic NFL season opener between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams at the MCG.

The partnership will see Walsh promote the Seahawks in Australia while giving the 24-year-old an opportunity to build his profile in the enormous US market.

Walsh is already regarded as one of Australia’s most marketable athletes, but his management believes there is significant scope to turn him into a global sporting personality.

The Seahawks partnership is viewed as an important first step, with Walsh’s representatives targeting an American audience of more than 300 million people.

The deal was negotiated while Walsh’s manager Nash Dawson was serving a nine-month suspension imposed by the NRL and it is reported Seattle was keen to leverage the stars local marketability to also promote the Seahawks in Australia.

Dawson’s suspension, which followed a physical altercation with fellow player agent Chris Orr outside a Port Macquarie pub in 2024, expires on Friday.

The prominent agent has continued to manage his stable of players during the suspension, which also includes Broncos forward Ezra Mam and Dolphins stars Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki.

Walsh’s Seahawks involvement comes as he continues his recovery from ankle surgery following a frustrating 2026 campaign.

The 2025 Clive Churchill Medal winner has played just a limited role this season because of injury, but Broncos coach Michael Maguire remains confident the fullback can return to his best next year.

Walsh’s NFL partnership comes with his rugby league future also in focus, with Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters yet to rule him out of contention for the upcoming World Cup as he works his way back from injury.

Regardless of his tough season on the field, linking with the NFL once again shows just how highly valued and sought-after Walsh is in the game — both on and off the field.
