Alamoti was already contracted for 2027 but has now added a further two seasons to his deal, giving the Panthers another important piece of certainty as their squad continues to evolve amidst several exiting stars.
The 22-year-old arrived at Penrith from Canterbury ahead of the 2024 season and quickly established himself as a first-grade option at the foot of the mountains.
His first season with the Panthers ended in the ultimate success, with Alamoti playing in Penrith’s 2024 grand final victory over Melbourne.

Since then, he has continued to develop into a reliable option in the centres while providing the versatility to cover other positions across the outside backs.
His retention comes at an important time for the Panthers, who have already had to make difficult decisions around their roster as the salary cap makes maintaining their premiership core increasingly challenging.

Retaining players has become increasingly difficult for Penrith as the club attempts to balance its salary cap while keeping together the core that delivered years of unprecedented success.
The departures are already beginning to reshape that group, with To’o the latest high-profile player to secure his future elsewhere, so retaining Jenkins recently and now Alamoti, is a huge win for the Panthers.
But perhaps the biggest decision still to come is Nathan Cleary, with the superstar halfback able to negotiate with rival clubs from November 1 and yet to commit his long-term future to Penrith.
Cleary’s future will undoubtedly shape the club’s recruitment and retention strategy, with the Panthers needing to find the right balance between keeping their biggest stars and continuing to build a squad capable of challenging for premierships.
For Panthers fans, Alamoti’s decision is an important piece of positive news during a period of significant uncertainty around the club’s roster.
