Figures released by the Gambling Supervisory Authority showed gross gaming revenue reaching €153.6 million between January and June, up from €131.5 million in 2025.
Remote gambling was the clear driver of growth, accounting for nearly four‑fifths of total revenue. Online operators generated €119.9 million in GGR, a 25% increase year‑on‑year, while land‑based venues slipped to €33.7 million, down 5% from the previous year.
Lotteries also contributed to the overall rise. Ticket sales grew 8.6% to €87.7 million, with prize payouts climbing 10.5% to €49.3 million. This left lottery GGR at €38.4 million, up 6.2% on H1 2025. As of June 30, two private companies continued to run the country’s major lottery operations.
Slot machines lead revenue generation
Remote gambling products showed mixed results in the first half of 2026. Category A slot machines stood out as the strongest performer, generating €85.7 million in gross gaming revenue, a jump of about one‑third compared to last year. Remote table games also added momentum, climbing 34% to €12.3 million.

Not all segments shared in the growth. Category B slot machines saw a steep drop, with revenues falling 63% to just €424,800. Physical table games, by contrast, remained steady, producing €7.7 million in GGR.
Gambling taxes also rose 11.4% to €46.43 million, with casinos and other operators paying €30.67 million and lotteries contributing €15.76 million. At the same time, the number of devices and venues contracted slightly compared to the previous year.
Looking ahead, Lithuania’s Ministry of Finance has proposed mandatory “player cards” to track gambling activity across online and land‑based venues.
Scheduled to take effect in January 2029, the cards would allow authorities to monitor deposits and winnings across operators, tightening oversight of both slots and table games.
