Cambodia Lowers 2026 Growth Prospects Amid Crackdown on Scams

The government has also revised the forecast for 2027 economic growth downward to 5%, from 5.5%. It is noted that although the efforts made to combat scams will eventually help create a more favorable investment climate in Cambodia, the current pressure exerted on various economic sectors, particularly construction, real estate, and domestic consumption, will be felt shortly.

Energy and Border Pressures
