Pistons vs. Magic live score: Updated Game 7 results, highlights from 2026 NBA playoffs first round

The Detroit Pistons were staring down elimination on Friday night before Cade Cunningham took over in the second half, as the Pistons outscored the Orlando Magic by 36 points to force a Game 7.

Cunningham’s 32-point performance will go down in Pistons history, especially if Detroit can complete the comeback on Sunday. The Pistons were down 3-1 in the series, but have now won two-straight games to regain home-court advantage for the series.

Besides Cunningham, Tobias Harris had a strong showing in Game 6 with 22 points, while Ausar Thompson has provided the team outstanding defense. The Pistons were the only team in the Eastern Conference to win 60 games, but haven’t found that level in the playoffs thus far.

On the other side, the Magic have to recover from a brutal blown game on Friday night, which included blowing a 24-point lead. While Orlando’s defense has been strong, its offense has had droughts that could cost the Magic their season.

Paolo Banchero has had a solid series, but the Magic are missing Franz Wagner due to a calf injury. Wagner’s absence was a big reason why the Magic scored an NBA-low 19 points in the second half of Game 6, and the forward may not be ready to play on Sunday.
