The safety duo of Kyle Hamilton and Malaki Starks may be the best in the NFL, but Baltimore’s cornerbacks have also impressed. Marlon Humphrey picked off four passes in 2025, while Nate Wiggins took a step forward in his second season in the league.
On Tuesday, however, the Ravens may have been dealt a significant blow to their cornerback depth chart when Wiggins reportedly left practice with an apparent leg injury, needing to be carted off the field.

Nate Wiggins injury update
On Tuesday afternoon, various Ravens reporters shared that Wiggins had been carted off the practice field with an apparent lower-body injury.
Per Jamison Hensley, Wiggins’ injury happened when he was doing a one-on-one drill between wide receivers and defensive backs, getting his feet tangled with receiver Ja’Kobi Lane. Wiggins then «fell hard to the ground» and trainers looked at his left knee and leg with the cornerback in «visible pain.»
Hensley also reported that Wiggins «couldn’t put any weight on his left leg when heading into the team facility» and was carted off.
When new Ravens head coach Jessie Minter met with reporters shortly after, he didn’t have any new information on Wiggins’ status, with no timetable.

«I don’t have a ton of information yet,» Minter said, per Hensley. “I think there’s optimism.”
An injury to Wiggins could prove significant for Baltimore, with the 2024 first-rounder beginning to emerge as the team’ lead cornerback. Veterans Marlon Humphrey and Chidobe Awuzie would be thrust into bigger roles without Wiggins, while younger options like T.J. Tampa, Keyon Martin and Chandler Rivers could also see an increase in reps.
