When the NRL Match Review Committee released its Sunday charge sheet the 26-year-old had been hit with three separate careless high tackle charges on Jack Wighton, Cody Walker and Mat Dufty respectively.

Thankfully for Wilton and the Sharks they were all Grade 1 charges which will incur fines only with early pleas.

All the same, Wilton stands to be of out of pocket a whopping $6,600 — that’s more than $100 for each of the 64 minutes he played against the Bunnies.

In other MRC news, Brisbane Broncos veteran Ali Brigginshaw looks set for a monster ban after being referred directly to the  NRLW Judiciary following a Grade 3 dangerous throw on Bulldogs star Tayla Preston during the Magic Round clash in Wagga Wagga.

Preston was thankfully uninjured in the horror tackle but Brigginshaw — who controversially escaped a send off — is facing the possibility of an extended stint on the sidelines.

Since the NRLW’s inception in 2018, the longest suspensions ever handed down are four weeks.
