The company confirmed Emery left on mutually agreed terms and has already launched an executive search for her successor. The position carries responsibility for marketing strategy, media investment and brand development across Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala and Foxy Bingo.
Marketing Reshaped During Emery’s Tenure
Emery’s departure follows a period of significant changes inside Entain’s UK marketing operation.
One of the biggest decisions came in 2025, when Ladbrokes appointed Atomic London as its lead creative agency after a competitive review. Later that year, Entain also overhauled its UK and Ireland media buying arrangements, handing its estimated £90 million account to PHD, part of Omnicom Media Group. The move ended the long-running relationship with the7stars and extended across Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala and Foxy Bingo.
Those reviews reflected a broader effort to refresh how the group’s brands compete in the UK market. Entain has not indicated whether the incoming marketing chief will maintain the current agency structure or pursue another round of changes.

The company acknowledged Emery’s role in driving the evolution of its UK brands and credited her with leading the marketing function through a period of restructuring and brand development before wishing her well for the future.
Leadership Change Comes During Cost-Cutting Push
The vacancy emerges as Entain presses ahead with a wider efficiency programme under Chief Executive Stella David.
The gambling group recently announced plans to cut around 500 jobs worldwide as part of a broader review of operating costs. No redundancies have been announced within the UK marketing division, but the company is continuing to assess its domestic strategy and the funding of its core brands as part of a transformation programme stretching into 2026.
The next marketing chief is expected to play a central role in preparing Ladbrokes and Coral for the next phase of the UK gambling market. Entain has tied those long-term plans to the industry’s changing regulatory and tax environment, including the introduction of the new 40% Remote Gambling Duty regime.
