Galaxy Launches World Cup Responsible Gaming Drive for Staff and Community
Macau’s Galaxy Entertainment Group has rolled out a new in-house campaign tied to the football World Cup, with the company saying the initiative is designed to promote rational entertainment among team members and the wider community. The programme, titled “GEG Responsible Gaming Promotional Program: Football World Cup Series,” also placed a particular focus on youth.
Campaign Activities Across Casino Sites
The campaign was carried out in collaboration with the Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Service Coordination Office. As part of the initiative, Galaxy hosted a series of “World Cup Goal Challenge: Clear Eyes, Responsible Plays” responsible gaming activities in the back-of-house areas of Galaxy Macau and StarWorld Hotel.
According to the firm, these activities utilized interactive games, informative displays, and counseling services onsite in order to effectively deliver responsible gaming messages. Galaxy claimed that the campaign was designed to increase the ability of its employees to recognize gaming disorder risks and warning signs and to become aware of the help they can receive.
Notably, the campaign has been extended to the staff members’ areas, not only the ones that are available for the general public. In this way, the firm tried to target its staff working in the gaming industry directly. The focus on practical awareness formed a central part of the campaign’s design.
Staff Participation And Outreach
Galaxy also fielded a team to participate in the “RG Man Competition – World Cup Special Edition,” which was organised by the Macao Leisure Industry Employees Home. Following the competition, the company mobilised team members to extend the promotional effort into the community.
That outreach was intended to promote the idea of rational and responsible entertainment to tourists and residents during the World Cup period. The company said the effort relied on interactive engagement to reinforce the message beyond the workplace.
The campaign added another layer to Galaxy’s wider responsible gaming approach, with the World Cup providing the setting for both internal training-style activity and external awareness efforts. The company said the combination of staff participation and community outreach was meant to strengthen understanding of responsible entertainment.

Wider Responsible Gaming Efforts
Galaxy said the World Cup campaign forms part of a broader set of responsible gaming initiatives it has supported recently. Among those is the “World Cup Forum Theatre Tour ‘Gambling on the Line’,” in which gaming-related team members attend the performance to promote awareness of healthy sports participation and responsible gaming.
Another initiative is “Smart Sight MAX,” a limited-time World Cup-themed online prize game. Galaxy included that activity as part of its wider mix of online and offline efforts connected to the tournament period.
The company said these initiatives were designed to encourage youth and the wider community to enjoy sporting events responsibly while deepening their understanding of responsible entertainment. That message tied the different activities together and gave the campaign a consistent focus.
Ongoing Message
Galaxy’s latest campaign shows how the company is using the World Cup period to reinforce responsible gaming messages across staff, community, and youth-focused channels. Through events, displays, counselling, and outreach, the programme was positioned as a way to promote awareness in a format the company described as practical and accessible.
The initiative also reflects the company’s effort to pair event-related promotion with responsible gaming education. By connecting World Cup activity with awareness campaigns, Galaxy has framed the programme around entertainment, warning signs, and support, while keeping the message centered on rational play.
