Velvix Deepens Philippines Presence With LaVie Slot Machine Deal
Velvix Corp has signed a cooperation agreement with LaVie Resort & Casino Manila in the Philippines that will see 16 electronic gaming machines installed at the property. Agreement Covers 16 CurlX Units
Under the agreement announced on Monday, Velvix will supply 16 of its CurlX slot machines with jackpot functions. The package also includes signage, backend system support, installation, training, maintenance, and technical assistance.
Velvix said the arrangement is an important step in its continued expansion in the Philippine gaming market. The company presented the agreement as part of a broader effort to widen its casino gaming footprint across Asia.
Stanley Ku, chief executive of Velvix, said the Philippines is an important market for the company and that the deal with LaVie Resort & Casino Manila offers a meaningful opportunity to introduce the CurlX platform, game content, and support capabilities to local players and operators.
The company’s statement indicates that the deployment is not limited to hardware alone. By including support, training, and maintenance, the agreement gives LaVie access to a wider service package alongside the slot machines themselves.
LaVie Sees Strong Expectations
LaVie Resort & Casino Manila, long known as New Coast Hotel Manila, is operated by Hong Kong-listed International Entertainment Corp. The property is one of the venues where Velvix is now expanding its slot machine presence.
Stephen Tham, vice president for slot operations at LaVie Resort & Casino Manila, said the venue has strong expectations for the partnership. He added that Velvix’s slot machines have shown strong and consistent performance against the casino’s operating benchmarks.
Tham said the supplier’s game content and hardware quality would strengthen the property’s gaming portfolio and improve the player experience. His comments suggest the casino sees the deal as both a product and operational upgrade.

The agreement comes shortly after another development involving International Entertainment. In early June, Philippine online gaming operator DigiPlus Interactive Corp completed a second subscription to convertible notes in the company. If fully converted, DigiPlus would hold a 53.89% stake in International Entertainment.
Velvix Expands Regional Reach
Velvix was founded in 2019 as part of the rebranding of the XSGroup’s electronic gaming machine division. With offices in Asia and the U.S., the company describes itself as a developer of EGM cabinets and software for the Asia-Pacific region and North American markets.
The LaVie installation adds to that regional strategy. In its Monday release, Velvix said the deployment would further strengthen its presence in the Philippines as it continues to expand its casino gaming portfolio across Asia and other international markets.
The company’s move into LaVie also reflects its effort to broaden the use of its CurlX platform in different markets. By pairing the machines with support services, Velvix is positioning itself as a supplier of both product and technical assistance.
Local Casino Portfolio Grows
For Velvix, the deal marks another step in a growing push into the Philippine sector. For LaVie, it brings in 16 new machines supported by a full package of services from the supplier.
The agreement now adds the LaVie property to Velvix’s expanding list of regional installations. As the company continues to build its casino gaming portfolio, the Philippine deal gives it another platform from which to extend that presence.
