JCM Expands Commercial Reach With Fujitsu Business Takeover
Japan Cash Machine Co Ltd has completed the acquisition of Fujitsu Frontech Ltd’s medium- and small-sized banknote recycler and dispenser manufacturing and sales business, adding another line of commercial hardware to its portfolio. The gaming technology supplier, also known as JCM Global, said it began operating the acquired business on July 1.

Deal Completed And Operations Begin
JCM said in a press release issued on Wednesday that the transaction had already been completed and that it had started running the business. The acquisition was first announced in March this year, when the company said the target business had generated revenue of JPY7.14 billion, or US$43.9 million, in the 12 months ended March 31, 2025.
At the time of the March announcement, the base acquisition price was set at JPY500 million. The latest update confirms that the business has now passed into JCM’s hands and is being integrated into its operations.
The company said the deal fits within its medium-term management plan, JCM Global Vision 2032, under which it is pursuing further expansion of its global commercial business. JCM said the acquisition is one of its key strategic initiatives under that plan.
Strategy Focused On Broader Portfolio
Regarding the objective behind this acquisition, JCM explained that this is an attempt to make their presence in the commercial market stronger by widening their customer base and product range. Additionally, they stated that they intend to make use of their worldwide sales network to generate new business prospects.
That approach suggests the company is looking to build on its existing business beyond its gaming-related hardware. JCM, which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, already manufactures banknote validation and currency-handling machines, as well as printers for casino gaming machines and other gaming hardware-related devices.
The new business gives JCM another commercial hardware segment to work with as it broadens its reach. The company’s comments indicated that the transaction is intended to support both product diversification and wider customer access.

Recent Financial Results
JCM Global’s latest results show the business remains profitable despite lower sales. The company reported a net profit of just over JPY4.69 billion for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, on net sales of JPY31.56 billion, which were down 16.6% year on year.
The results were released in May, alongside another corporate update in which JCM said it had revised its dividend policy. The new policy targets a consolidated dividend payout ratio of 50 percent or more.
That combination of lower sales, continued profitability, and a revised dividend framework provides the backdrop for the latest acquisition. JCM’s management has been reshaping the company’s approach while also extending its commercial footprint through deals such as the Fujitsu business purchase.
Wider Business Direction
The Fujitsu Frontech acquisition gives JCM another route into the market for banknote recycler and dispenser systems, an area aligned with its existing hardware capabilities. By bringing the business into its own operations, the company is also adding to the customer and product base it said it wants to expand.
The move follows a clear strategic pattern set out under JCM Global Vision 2032. With the business now operating under JCM, the company has moved from announcement to execution on a deal that it says is intended to support its global commercial expansion.
