Sponsor extends PDC Premier League darts contract
If further proof of the Luke Littler effect were needed it was provided recently with the extension of one of the most important darts and brand partnership. In truth the cost of sponsoring the PDC Premier League sees it become a short term launching pad for new brands or those seeking new territory. However the current sponsor has now broken that pattern.

BetMGM will continue as title sponsor of the PDC Premier League after agreeing a new multi-year extension, ensuring one of darts’ most prominent commercial partnerships remains firmly intact for the foreseeable future.
The renewed agreement strengthens the relationship between the global betting brand and professional darts’ flagship travelling spectacle, a tournament which has evolved into one of the most recognisable annual events in world sport.

Staged between February and May, the BetMGM Premier League sees eight of the sport’s pre-eminent competitors embark upon a 17-night odyssey across the United Kingdom, Ireland and mainland Europe, battling for a share of a £1 million prize fund.
Now entering its third decade, the competition continues to establish new benchmarks for both sporting drama and audience engagement. Few tournaments in the Professional Darts Corporation portfolio can rival its capacity for producing unforgettable moments, a fact reflected by an extraordinary statistic. Across its 22-year existence, the Premier League has witnessed 21 televised nine-dart finishes — more than any other major event on the PDC calendar.
The latest addition to that illustrious collection arrived during Night Four of the 2026 campaign in Belfast, when local favourite Josh Rock ignited the SSE Arena by producing the sport’s perfect leg in front of a euphoric home crowd.
His achievement earned him a bespoke set of handmade 18-carat gold darts worth £30,000 courtesy of BetMGM, joining an exclusive list of recent recipients which includes Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price, who remarkably achieved the feat twice during the 2025 season.
The extension of the sponsorship agreement reflects the continued commercial ascendancy of both parties and underlines the remarkable global growth darts has experienced in recent years.
