The San Antonio Spurs proved to the world that they were more than worthy of the chance to prevent the Oklahoma City Thunder from returning to their second straight NBA Finals. Now, the two powerhouses will face off for one final game on Saturday night to determine who will move on.

San Antonio had its best shooting night of the entire series (46.6 FG%), and it could not have come at a better time. Victor Wembanyama headed into halftime with a stellar 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field, including a 4-of-8 line from beyond the arc. He wasn’t without help, though, as rookie Dylan Harper stepped up massively with an 18-point, six-rebound and four-assist performance.

While the Thunder were able to claw back from San Antonio’s fast start, they just couldn’t get enough momentum going. Oklahoma City never led in this game and even had its lowest-scoring quarter of the season with just 13 points in the third quarter. The defending champs shot only 21.4% from the field (6-of-28) and missed all eight of their 3-point attempts.

Now, the two will butt heads just one more time this season in a win-or-go-home Game 7 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. The winner will own home-court advantage against the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals. If San Antonio is able to pull off the road victory, it will be the franchise’s first Finals appearance since 2014, when it beat the Miami Heat 4-1.
