Just eleven months after the Wahs’ 2025 season came unstuck when Luke Metcalf ruptured his ACL against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, No.7 Tanah Boyd has left the field close to tears after seemingly suffering the exact same fate.
In just the seventh minute of the Magic Round clash against Brisbane, Boyd pulled up suddenly as he attacked the Broncos line, hopping on one leg before crumbling to the ground as a grim hush came over stunned Wahs fans.
Boyd was assessed by Warriors medical staff and limped from the field moments later with a forlorn look on his face, as Fox League’s Lara Pitt soon confirmed fears of a season-ending ACL injury.

2026 will be Metcalf’s last season in the Warriors squad having signed with the Dragons from 2027.
