After snapping a record losing streak against the Wests Tigers on Sunday, the club confirmed their star fullback Sua Fa’alogo has been cleared of a facial fracture and should be available for selection in the Storm’s Magic Round clash with the Eels on Saturday night.

In a short statement the Storm said scans showed the 23-year-old had sustained only soft tissue damage with no evidence of a facial fracture or other serious damage.

Fa’alogo left the field for an HIA in the 27thminute of the 44-16 win over the Tigers after unsuccessfully attempting to stop Taylan May from scoring in the corner.

While it was originally thought he had failed his HIA, that appears not to be the case, hence his availability for Round 11.

“Scans have confirmed Fa’alogo has been cleared of any facial fracture or serious damage, with the injury limited to soft tissue,” the Storm statement said.

“The fullback is expected to be available for selection this weekend.”

Fa’alogo scored a try double against the Eels in Round 1 as the Storm embarrassed Parramatta 52-4 at AAMI Park.
