As part of a marketing drive, individual pieces of the logos have been revealed during a Queensland tour held in the past week, with the full logos set to be revealed to the world next Monday.
However the cockatoo-inspired logo was prematurely revealed on Friday night in a preview image for a video set to go live on Monday morning on the official Brisbane 2032 YouTube channel.
The image has since been removed but eagle-eyed viewers were also able to take a snapshot of an explanation in the video’s description.
“The Brisbane 2032 emblems are inspired by the spirited cockatoo — a symbol of Australia’s unique wildlife and playful heart! The cockatoo’s crest is a living torch, reminiscent of the iconic Olympic and Paralympic flame,” the description read according to ABC reports.
“Shaped like Queensland, with its eye on Brisbane, the emblem is a universal symbol to unite Brisbane, Australia and the world in 2032.”

On Saturday morning Queensland Olympics Minister and former NRL referee Tim Mander laughed off the leak, telling Today on Channel 9 he was excited the logos were finally out in the public.

“Obviously there were people so enthusiastic about looking for the emblem that they’d been scanning the internet,” Mander said.
“It’s appeared for a short time (before being taken down)… so it’s out there.”
The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic logos were to have been officially unveiled on Monday, however the Brisbane 2032 social media accounts conceded defeat, confirming the logos on Saturday morning.
