Sydney Roosters icon James Tedesco has been named in the Players’ NRL Dream Team for a record sixth time.

The 33-year-old achieved the honour voted by his peers to stay ahead of Payne Haas, who was selected for a fifth time — outright second on the record books.

Tedesco has now been picked for the team in 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2025 and 2026, while Haas has secured his first back-to-back selection (2019, 2021, 2023, 2025 and 2026).

Dolphins centre Herbie Farnworth earned his fourth consecutive appearance in the Dream Team, meaning he could chase down Tedesco in the future.
