For the second time in three weeks, an NFC East team lost an international matchup due to a last-second collapse. The Cowboys did it in Rio. Now, the Eagles have fallen apart in London.

Despite taking the lead with under 10 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter on a Jake Elliott field goal, the Eagles’ special teams unit allowed a huge kick return to Ameer Abdullah on Sunday afternoon, setting up a 57-yard game-winning kick from Cam Little for a 19-17 Jaguars victory. Little, who also avenged a missed extra-point earlier in the matchup, sent the Jaguars to 4-1 so far this season.
The Week 5 London matchup wasn’t pretty by most measures — Jacksonville dealt with red-zone issues and penalties all day, while Philadelphia couldn’t find momentum with its long list of offensive absences. But after the Eagles’ defense impressed for most of the game, a spectacular one-handed grab from Parker Washington in the fourth quarter put momentum in the Jaguars’ favor.
From there, Abdullah’s 53-yard kick return following Elliott’s field goal set up the big-legged Little to connect on a miraculous game-winner. It wasn’t a thorough performance by any means, but Jacksonville continues to prove it’s one of the AFC’s teams to beat. For the Eagles, though, it’s another heart-breaker in what’s been a wild week for the franchise.
The Sporting News tracked live updates and highlights from Sunday morning’s NFL matchup overseas, with the Eagles and Jaguars meeting in London. Here’s how Jacksonville won at the last second.

1:06 p.m. — Needing a field goal, the Eagles have reached the 50-yard line.
1:01 p.m. — The Jaguars run the ball with Tuten on third down, but the officials seem to stop him for forward progress a bit early, meaning Jacksonville has to punt. Here comes Hurts with a chance to lead the Eagles to a win.
1:00 p.m. — A tipped pass brings up 3rd & 8. The Jags need to move the chains to avoid giving Hurts the ball back.
12:55 p.m. — What a stop by the Jaguars’ defense. They blow up a play to set Hurts back 10 yards, and the Eagles have to quickly punt and hope their defense can get the ball back. The Jaguars are in control at the two-minute warning.
Jaguars 16, Eagles 14
12:53 p.m. — Cam Little misses the extra point! The Eagles will still be able to take the lead with a field goal and under four minutes remaining.

12:47 p.m. — For all of the Jaguars’ struggles, the Eagles’ offense is keeping this a game. They punt after finding nothing on the ground.
12:44 p.m. — Jacksonville has had bad, bad execution in the red zone today. After their miscues at the end of the first half, between a delay of game, Brian Thomas Jr. failing to get a second foot in the end zone, and a failed 4th & Goal try, the Jaguars come up short at the goal line yet again.

12:29 p.m. — Penalties and some miscommunication from wide receivers result in the Eagles getting pinned back into their own end zone, punting back to the Jaguars.
12:22 p.m. — The Eagles’ defense steps up once again. Lawrence can’t get the ball out in time on third down, forcing Jacksonville to punt with a four-point deficit.
End of third quarter: Eagles 14, Jaguars 10
12:16 p.m. — Jacksonville has the ball at the end of the third quarter, looking to take the lead back in London.
12:15 p.m. — A missed opportunity for the Eagles: Hurts had Wicks wide open for a potential deep-ball touchdown, but barely overthrew him. Instead, Philadelphia punts.
12:05 p.m. — Quinyon Mitchell answers. He picks off Lawrence to get the ball right back for Philadelphia, coming up hobbling on the play but seeming to be OK.

11:35 a.m. — The Eagles got the ball to open the second half after a halftime performance in London. Hurts fumbles on the third play of the drive though, and while Philadelphia recovers, it results in a punt.
Halftime: Eagles 14, Jaguars 7
11:09 a.m. — The first half was madness. At the end, the Jaguars run a play with just a few seconds remaining in the quarter and no timeouts, and Lawrence tried to get the ball to Brian Thomas Jr., who dropped it. For a moment, it appeared the time had run out for Jacksonville before halftime.
Instead, one second is added to the clock, and on a jet sweep play, the Eagles are all over Tuten for a massive series of defensive stops at the goal line.
A horrid goal-line sequence for the #Jaguars but a huge stop for the #Eagles. Big time swing before the half. https://t.co/DFHWp4UoSw

11:02 a.m. — The Jaguars are knocking on the door. Andrew Mukuba makes a big tackle to keep Jacksonville inside the one-yard line, and Chris Rodriguez Jr. almost fumbled the ball away in a big spot, but the Jaguars hold onto the ball.

10:44 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — Darius Cooper has six catches this season. Four have been touchdowns.
He breaks free for a huge 62-yard touchdown catch from Hurts, and the Eagles are in front.

10:15 a.m. — Philadelphia’s defense gets a stop now, and Makai Lemon makes his first grab of the day as the first quarter comes to an end.
10:08 a.m. — It’s a three-and-out for Philadelphia, struggling to move the ball with depleted weapons today.
Jaguars 7, Eagles 0
10:01 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — The Jaguars have found the momentum now. Travis Hunter picked up a first down, then Parker Washington broke free for a 51-yard touchdown catch-and-run, giving Jacksonville the first lead.

9:57 a.m. — The Eagles’ first drive ended on a 4th & 1 that came up short, as they opted not to try the Tush Push with a new-look offensive line. Philadelphia turns it over after a slow offensive start.
9:43 a.m. — Between penalties galore in London, and now a lost fumble on a sack for Trevor Lawrence, it hasn’t been pretty so far. The Jaguars now have a 3rd & 37 after Lawrence lost the football.

9:41 a.m. — The Jaguars’ offense is finally on the field, moving the ball with a pickup of 12 yards.
9:37 a.m. — To recap the wild opening sequence: the Jaguars TD won’t count due to all the penalties, while Thomas and Trotter were ejected for their brawl.

9:32 a.m. — What is happening!? The opening kickoff is madness, as the Jaguars get a special teams touchdown on the return, then a fight breaks out around midfield involving the Eagles’ Jeremiah Trotter.
An illegal formation on Jacksonville, holding on the Eagles, plus unnecessary roughness on two players.
Trotter and the Jaguars’ Bryan Thomas Jr. — not to be confused with the wide receiver, Brian — are ejected from the game.

9:16 a.m. — Interestingly, despite announcing his retirement this week, Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is set to remain on the team’s active roster for the remainder of the season, per Zach Berman. There are «salary cap implications if Johnson is placed on the reserve/retired list with the acceleration of the cap hit. If it processes post-June 1, the Eagles can spread the cap hit over two years and preserve some flexibility.»
That will essentially shorten the Eagles’ roster to 52 players for the rest of the season.
