The former Inter Milan defender will join the iGaming software provider at SiGMA World in Rome on Wednesday, 4 November, making a special appearance as part of the Bloko Padel Tour.
The event will take place throughout SiGMA World at Pavilion 9, featuring a programme of padel matches, entertainment and networking before culminating in the Grand Finale on 4 November.
Marco Materazzi said:
“I’ve always believed the best things happen when passion meets competition. Padel has that same fire I found on the football pitch: intensity, teamwork, the will to win. As a passionate player myself, it’s a sport I have a real affinity with and I’m proud to be part of the Bloko Padel Tour in Rome.”
Rome will be the final stop of the Bloko Padel Tour’s 2026 season following previous events in Buenos Aires, Malta, Miami and Mexico City.
Blokotech, which owns the tour, will bring the experience directly to SiGMA World, with Materazzi joining the event as one of its headline names.
The ambassador agreement comes as Blokotech continues to expand its operations and technology offering for casino and sportsbook operators.
The company provides modular technology alongside an end-to-end B2B platform designed to help launch and scale iGaming businesses.
Its technology ecosystem currently incorporates more than 14,000 games from over 90 providers, as well as multiple sports betting solutions. Blokotech also offers AI-powered tools focused on personalising player experiences through behavioural segmentation and automated bonuses.

The company has also expanded its portfolio with BlokoPredict, a white-label prediction markets engine. The product allows operators to integrate prediction markets without developing their own trading, pricing, settlement and compliance infrastructure.
Co-Founder & CEO of Blokotech, Salvatore Messina, added:
“Marco is one of the most recognisable names in Italian football, so we’re incredibly proud to welcome him as an ambassador for the Bloko Padel Tour.
Padel has become an important part of how we bring people together around the Blokotech brand, and having a World Cup winner like Marco involved takes that to another level. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Pavilion 9 to experience the action, connect with the industry and be part of the tour at SiGMA World.”
Materazzi spent most of his playing career with Inter Milan, where he won five Serie A titles and the UEFA Champions League.
He also played a central role in Italy’s victory at the 2006 World Cup, scoring the equalising goal against France in the final before converting a penalty during the shootout that secured the country’s fourth World Cup title.
Following the Bloko Padel Tour Grand Finale on Wednesday, the programme will continue at Pavilion 9 on Thursday, 5 November.
Further entertainment will include the Bloko Padel Tour Super Cup, which will see the Bloko Padel Tour winners face the winners of the media tournament.
SiGMA World delegates will also be able to meet the Blokotech team and learn more about its technology at Hall 5, Stand 5035.
