The gambling tax income of Kyrgyzstan stood at KGS443 million or $5.07 million during the period of January-August 2026, according to the data provided by the Ministry of Finance. The income was derived from various sectors of gambling, but the income generated through physical casinos made up almost the entire income.

The latest figures show the different sources contributing to gambling tax collections in the country. While casinos remained the primary source, slot machines, simulators, sports betting, bookmakers, and online casino operations also contributed to the overall total.

The revenue figures come as Kyrgyzstan’s licensed gaming sector continues to develop. The country has also recently established an organization intended to represent licensed operators in the gaming and entertainment industry.

Physical Casinos Lead Revenue Collection

Physical casinos generated KGS422.7 million in gambling taxes between January and August. This was the largest contribution among all categories reported by the Ministry of Finance.

The casino sector represented the overwhelming share of the KGS443 million collected during the period. The figures placed physical casino operations far ahead of the other gambling activities included in the government’s tax data.

The amount generated by casinos reflected the central position of land-based gaming in the country’s gambling tax collection. Of the total US$5.07 million reported, most of the revenue came from this segment alone.

Other areas of the gambling industry recorded smaller contributions. However, they remained part of the overall tax revenue generated during the first 8 months of 2026.

Machines and Betting Add to Total

Slot machines and simulators generated KGS13.9 million, equivalent to around US$158,000. This made the segment the 2nd-largest contributor after physical casinos.

Sports betting and bookmakers generated KGS4 million in gambling taxes, or about US$45,000. The revenue from this category was lower than the amount reported for slot machines and simulators.

Online and virtual casinos recorded the smallest total among the categories listed by the Ministry of Finance. The segment generated KGS2.8 million, which was equivalent to around US$32,000.

Although the revenue from online and virtual casinos was limited compared with the amount generated by physical casinos, it was still included in the total KGS443 million collected by the government from gambling taxes.

The figures covered tax collections from the beginning of January through the end of August 2026. They provided a breakdown of the contributions made by different gambling operations during the reported period.

Industry Group Represents Operators

Kyrgyzstan recently saw the creation of the Association of the Gaming and Entertainment Industry. The organization was formed to represent licensed gaming operators in the country.

The association’s establishment comes as licensed gambling businesses operate across different segments, including physical casinos, slot machines, betting, and online casino services. Its role is focused on representing operators within the gaming and entertainment industry.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Finance, physical casinos were the leading contributor to the taxes collected from the gambling sector of the country within the first eight months of 2026. Also contributing to this collection were the slot machines, simulators, sports betting, bookmakers, and online casinos.
