Century Entertainment Says Philippine Operations Continue After WPT Accreditation Loss
Century Entertainment International Holdings said it became aware in mid-April that its Philippine partner, World Platinum Technologies Inc., or WPT, had lost its gaming accreditations. Despite the development, the company said its Philippine gaming business can continue through arrangements with other PAGCOR-accredited providers.

The disclosure was made in Century Entertainment’s annual report for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. The Hong Kong-listed company published the report on Sept. 25 after previously facing questions over when it learned about WPT’s accreditation cancellations.
According to the annual report, WPT informed the group in mid-April that its Gaming System Administrator or GSA accreditation and Gaming Content Provider or GCP accreditation had been canceled. Century Entertainment said the situation did not affect its Phase IV operations under Philippine gaming law.
Other Accredited Providers Involved
Century Entertainment said its 51%-owned joint venture, Konphil Technology Company Limited, had already taken steps involving another accredited provider before new rules for foreign game providers took effect.
Before March 26, Konphil appointed a separate PAGCOR-accredited GCP as its exclusive distributor. The appointment was made ahead of the implementation of new requirements for foreign gaming content providers.
The company also stated that WPT appointed another PAGCOR-accredited GSA in early April. The other GSA was tasked with offering Konphil’s modified gaming platforms through its own platform.
Century Entertainment cited advice from its Philippine legal counsel in explaining the arrangement. The company said the agreement between WPT and the other GSA remained valid, and that its Phase IV business was not affected under Philippine gaming law.
The annual report provides additional details on the company’s response to WPT’s loss of accreditation. It also outlines the involvement of other accredited partners in supporting the continued operation of its Philippine gaming business.
Report Clarifies Earlier Filings
In July, AGB reported that PAGCOR had confirmed the cancellation of WPT’s GSA accreditation in April. At that time, Century Entertainment’s public filings did not state whether the company had been informed of the cancellation or when it had received that information.

A June 25 announcement from Century Entertainment continued to refer to WPT as a PAGCOR-accredited service provider. It also referred to WPT’s licensed platform.
The company’s newly published annual report now states that Century Entertainment received notice from WPT in mid-April. It also includes details of the separate arrangements with other PAGCOR-accredited GSA and GCP providers.
The updated information addresses the timing of the notification and the measures taken by the company and its joint venture. These arrangements were presented as part of the company’s position that its Phase IV operations could continue.
Gaming Business Posts Revenue
Century Entertainment reported annual revenue of HK$30.3 million, or US$3.9 million, compared with no revenue in the previous year. Its online gaming platform business contributed HK$23.7 million, equivalent to US$3.0 million.
The remaining revenue came from the sale of camellia oil products. The company also reported a net profit of HK$8.6 million, or US$1.1 million, reversing a net loss of HK$45.7 million, or US$5.9 million.
The result was also supported by a net reversal of impairment losses involving receivables and deposits. Separately, Century Entertainment recorded unaudited Phase IV revenue of HK$53.9 million, or US$6.9 million, from April to June 2026 after the end of its financial year.
The Philippine venture is part of Century Entertainment’s restructuring process and its effort to resume share trading, which has been suspended since June 26, 2025. The exchange’s requirements include publishing outstanding results, resolving audit modifications, and completing an independent review of internal controls.
