Titled “The State of iGaming Teams 2026–2027: Why People Stay. Why They Leave. What Leaders Can Do Next,” the research will explore the factors influencing why industry professionals remain with their employers, why they decide to leave and what companies can do to improve retention.
The project comes amid growing competition for talent within iGaming, where the cost of losing experienced specialists continues to increase. According to the companies, employers and employees can also struggle to understand each other’s expectations, while comprehensive industry-wide data focused on employee retention remains limited.
Daria Fot, Human Resources Director at Evenbeter, said:
“The goal of the research is to build a full industry picture of team conditions in iGaming and provide companies with practical recommendations for employee retention.”
Study to Examine Employee Expectations and Workplace Conditions
The study is intended to provide CEOs and founders with information that can support data-driven decision-making and improve their understanding of the cost associated with losing key specialists.
It will also allow HR professionals and team leaders to compare their existing practices with the wider market and identify potential areas for development. More broadly, the research aims to establish a clearer industry-wide understanding of the main factors influencing employee retention.

Data collection begins on 3 September and will continue until 1 October 2026, with information gathered through online and offline surveys as well as interviews.
The final report is scheduled for publication in late November 2026.
Final Report to Cover Retention, Burnout and Management Culture
The research will examine the project methodology and respondent profiles before assessing the reasons professionals leave their positions and the factors that encourage them to stay.
It will also explore how specialists select new employers, management culture and employees’ actual workplace experiences, as well as burnout and workload-related challenges.
Another area of focus will be the gap between what companies believe employees consider important and what workers actually value. The report will additionally examine changing expectations among specialists for 2026–2027 and provide conclusions and practical recommendations for employers.
Polina Kapitonova, CEO at Headshot, said:
“Market-wide averages offer little value to individual companies. We will break down the results by factors such as professional experience, function, and location, and show why people stay or leave in each context.”
