The project is aimed at educating the public about the dangers of the illegal betting market and at ensuring transparency, security and responsible gambling in the regulated betting environment in Brazil.
Campaign Targets Brazil’s Illegal Betting Market
The campaign aims to empower consumers to recognise unauthorized operators and to report illegal activities. However, the more people are aware of financial fraud and other dangers of platforms outside the nation’s regulatory system, the better off they might be, ANJL says.
Other celebrities joining the campaign include those from Brazilian sports. In addition to the personalities using social media to push the message to the public to take a stand against the illegal market, there are former footballers and athletes such as Cafu and Kelvin Oliveira who are doing the same.
ANJL Highlights Consumer Protection
The association was set on supporting the initiative due to the importance of informing consumers about unregulated betting, ANJL president Plínio Lemos Jorge said.
“We started supporting this movement because we believe it is essential to alert the public about the unregulated market. Many artists are posting videos, talking about the risks of the illegal market and responsible gambling. There is already significant participation, and it should grow even further,” Jorge said.
The collusion of industry organisations, public figures and consumers could help ensure a more reliable betting environment, the association says. Promote the ability of users to identify which operators are approved and which are not approved by the Federal government.

Digital Platforms Provide Information on Responsible Gambling
The “Todos Contra o Ilegal” has extended its reach to the digital environment, such as social media, YouTube and an online portal. The campaign has earned it over 50,000 followers on Instagram.
The platforms offer details that can assist consumers in determining if a betting website might be suspicious and what dangers are involved in using an illegal operator. The campaign also includes information on responsible gambling and other consumer protection options.
Resources mentioned include how to “self-exclude,” which is a way for users to limit their access to betting platforms. The project aims to raise awareness among the public on these tools.
Official Operator Lists and Self-Exclusion
There is also a list of brands and companies that have been approved to provide fixed-odds betting in Brazil by the Ministry of Finance, which consumers can check.
An official database can help users ensure that an operator has a legitimate license to buy and sell bitcoins before registering an account or funding it. In addition to this verification system, educational resources can be created to inform users about the concept of self-exclusion and other responsible gambling tools.
Brazil’s regulated betting market continues on the path of development, with the discussion around illegal operators being a key topic for regulators and players alike. The “Todos Contra o Ilegal” campaign is another attempt to make consumers aware and get them to engage more in mechanisms that ensure their protection.
