Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd break silence on their relationship status

Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd both went No. 1 overall in back-to-back WNBA drafts — Bueckers in 2025 and Fudd in 2026. Now, the former UConn Huskies stars are back together on the Dallas Wings, bringing their college partnership to the pros. Their pairing gives Dallas a solid backcourt, and adding Fudd has already helped the Wings win far more games than last year.

However, they kept their relationship private for years during college, but they subtly went public when Fudd shared a photo of an iPhone case that read «Paige Bueckers’ girlfriend.» Bueckers later confirmed the romance during the 2025 All-Star Weekend, though they never shared the full details of their relationship until today.

In the upcoming Apple TV+ docuseries The Dynasty: UConn Huskies, premiering this Friday, Fudd and Bueckers address their relationship on camera for the first time. 

Apple TV+ recently released a teaser of the series, Fudd can be seen saying, «Paige and I are a couple, and everyone close to us that was important knew, but it was kind of one of those things… it’s just, it’s private. Not a secret, but it’s private».

Reflecting on their early days, Bueckers shared, «Azzi ended up joining the team my sophomore year. It kinda just meshed as soon as we met. She’s sweet, she’s genuine, she has a huge, caring heart.»

She described their bond as «a spark a little bit different than what would just be considered a normal friendship.»

People are excited to see both players go deep about their relationship timeline in the full three-part series. But right now, Wings fans have a much bigger concern on the court.

Fudd has already missed six games this season with right knee soreness, and Dallas has fallen apart without her, going 1-5 during that stretch. The Wings’ win ratio also plummets to 16.7%, compared to 63.3% when she plays. 

With Dallas hosting the Indiana Fever on Thursday, fans are desperately hoping Fudd can suit up, or the Wings risk dropping another crucial game heading into the playoffs.
