In his first match back from a knee cartilage injury, the star five-eighth was hit with a Grade 2 dangerous contact charge from the NRL Match Review Committee for a tackle mid-way through the first half when the Storm were trailing the Sea Eagles 12-0.
Munster was the third man into the tackle and targeted Paseka’s legs, with the Manly big man remaining in the ground in obvious pain before eventually being helped from the field with a suspected MCL knee injury.
The incident saw an apologetic Munster penalised but the 31-year-old remained on the field.

Following the MRC charge Munster now faces a one-week suspension with an early guilt plea or a two-week ban if he unsuccessfully challenges the ban at the judiciary.
Meanwhile Paseka’s injury means Manly have lost three middle forwards in the space of a week, creating plenty of additional selection headaches for Kieran Foran.
Kobe Hetherington suffered a season-ending ruptured bicep at training leading up to Round 23 while Ethan Bullemore also entered concussion protocols following a head knock.
Six other players were charged by the MRC after Saturday’s matches but all resulted in fines only.
