Wynn Macau Registers Higher Q2 Operating Profit on Growth in Premium Mass and Summer Tourism

Wynn Macau Ltd registered a 26.9% rise in operating profit compared to last year’s corresponding period, aided by improved business performance at its Macau casinos. For the quarter ending June 30, operating profit increased to more than US$162.8 million, based on figures issued on Tuesday by its parent Wynn Resorts Ltd.

Macau Operations Deliver Stronger Earnings

The Macau unit’s adjusted property EBITDAR for the second quarter increased 17.1% year-on-year to just under US$297.0 million. Wynn Macau Ltd operates both Wynn Macau in the downtown area and Wynn Palace in the Cotai district.

Jefferies said in a Wednesday note that Wynn Macau Ltd’s adjusted EBITDA beat the broker’s estimate by 10%. The firm also noted management’s comment that operating trends improved in late July after the FIFA World Cup, as summer holiday travel accelerated and momentum carried into early August.

Wynn Resorts chief executive Craig Billings said the group’s second-quarter results reflected continued healthy demand dynamics across the business. He pointed to strong performance in Macau and a monthly record for adjusted property EBITDAR in Las Vegas in May, adding that he was proud of the company’s teams in both regions.

Wynn Palace Sees Revenue Rise

Wynn Palace posted operating revenues of US$653.4 million in the second quarter, up US$113.8 million from US$539.6 million a year earlier. Adjusted property EBITDAR at the resort climbed to US$201.5 million from US$157.2 million in the prior-year quarter.

Mass market table games at Wynn Palace generated a 29.7% win percentage, above the 22.3% recorded in the second quarter of 2025. VIP table games win as a percentage of turnover came in at 2.97%, below the property’s expected range of 3.1% to 3.4%, but above the 2.86% posted a year earlier.

The figures suggest stronger mass-market performance at the Cotai property, even as VIP results remained below the expected range. The quarterly comparison shows improvement in both revenue and adjusted earnings at the resort.

Downtown Wynn Macau Mixed

At Wynn Macau, operating revenues for the quarter reached US$351.1 million, up US$7.3 million from US$343.8 million a year earlier. However, adjusted property EBITDAR for the 3 months to June 30 slipped slightly to US$95.5 million from US$96.5 million in the second quarter of 2025.

Mass market table games at the downtown property recorded a 17.1% win percentage, below the 17.4% seen a year earlier. VIP table games win as a percentage of turnover was 2.58%, also below the property’s expected range of 3.1% to 3.4%, and lower than the 3.4% recorded in the prior-year quarter.

The results show a more mixed picture for the downtown resort than for Wynn Palace, with revenue edging higher but earnings and gaming win percentages softer in the period.

Debt And Project Updates

The Wynn group’s current and long-term debt outstanding at June 30 totalled US$10.72 billion. That included US$5.76 billion of Macau-related debt, US$877.8 million of Wynn Las Vegas debt, US$3.49 billion for Wynn Resorts Finance Ltd, and US$598.9 million of debt held by a retail joint venture that the group consolidates.

In the parent company’s results filing in the U.S., Billings also said Wynn Al Marjan Island, the US$5.7 billion casino resort in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, is set to open to guests in September 2027. Wynn Resorts holds a 40% equity stake in the project.
