Century Entertainment Delays FY2026 Results As Online Gaming Audit Continues

Century Entertainment has delayed the release of its FY2026 results while its online gaming platform undergoes a comprehensive IT audit. The company said the review means publication will now be pushed back until the end of August.

Audit Focuses On Platform Systems

In a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on July 31, Century Entertainment said auditor Crowe (HK) CPA Limited was examining the platform’s systems architecture, data integrity, system access controls, and operational continuity. The process involves coordination between Crowe, the company’s IT team in Shenzhen, and engineers from its technology service provider.

Century Entertainment described the work as the first comprehensive integration of cross-border technical platforms for the newly established business. It said more time was needed to align technical protocols, bridge differences in system documentation standards, and verify audit trails.

The company did not identify the technology service provider involved in the audit. It also did not address whether any wider operational issues had emerged from the review.

Questions Around Platform Partner

The filing came after the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation confirmed to AGB that World Platinum Technologies, Century Entertainment’s platform partner, was no longer accredited by the regulator.

Century Entertainment did not comment on WPT’s accreditation status or say whether the change would affect platform operations. The company’s latest filing also did not explain any link between the audit delay and the regulator’s position on WPT.

That omission leaves open questions around the relationship between the platform audit and the partner used to support the business. For now, the company has only said the results delay is not tied to any unresolved disagreement, material irregularity, or adverse financial finding.

Its audit committee also said there were no unresolved accounting or auditing disagreements with Crowe.

Recent Phase IV Rollout

Century Entertainment formally launched its Phase IV online gaming operations in April through an agreement with WPT. In a June filing, the company described WPT as a PAGCOR-accredited service provider and said its joint venture was using WPT’s licensed and GLI-certified platform to deploy gaming applications through 7 gaming venue operators in the Philippines.

Under that arrangement, Century Entertainment’s joint venture receives 85% of net winning income after tax, while WPT receives the remaining 15% as a deployment and collection fee.

According to the firm, Phase IV earned unaudited net earnings before tax of at least HKD 45 million ($5.8 million) from April to June. This provides an early signal of the magnitude of transactions within the new business segment, although the overall reporting schedule has been pushed back.

Reporting Delay And Trading Suspension

Century Entertainment was supposed to issue its financial reports for the fiscal year ended on March 31, 2026, by June 30. With this recent delay, investors will have to wait a little bit more for the complete FY2026 figures, amid the audit of the platform.

The company’s stock listing in Hong Kong has been put on hold since June 26, 2025, and will continue to be suspended indefinitely. With the audit ongoing and the results now deferred, Century Entertainment’s disclosures leave the market waiting for a clearer picture of the platform’s technical review and the status of its online gaming operations.
