Playtech Unit Added to UAE Vendor Register as GCGRA Expands Public List
Playtech subsidiary VSTechnology Limited has been added to the United Arab Emirates’ licensed gaming-related vendor register, taking the number of suppliers listed on the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority’s public register to 23. The entry places the Playtech-linked company among the latest businesses recognized by the regulator.
New Listing On Public Register
The GCGRA has not said when the license was issued, what its number is, or which specific products and services it covers. It has been stated, however, that only businesses and individuals holding a valid license are allowed to conduct commercial gaming activities in the UAE or provide related products and services.
The register links VSTechnology Limited to Playtech’s corporate website. Playtech filings identify VS Technology Limited as a wholly owned UK subsidiary involved in licensing online gaming software and games. Playtech acquired the entity through its 2009 purchase of Gaming Technology Solutions, which owned VS Technology and VS Gaming.
The addition of VSTechnology gives further shape to the regulator’s vendor list, which has gradually expanded as the UAE’s commercial gaming framework continues to develop.
Supplier List Continues To Grow
The GCGRA’s vendor register already includes several well-known suppliers. Among them are Aristocrat Technologies, Novomatic, Scientific Games, LNW Gaming, Konami Gaming, and International Game Technology. Other listed vendors include gaming table equipment manufacturer Cammegh and online casino content developer Endorphina.
The presence of these companies shows the range of suppliers now appearing on the UAE regulator’s public list. While the GCGRA has not provided further details on VSTechnology’s specific licence terms, its inclusion confirms that the Playtech subsidiary is now part of that register.
The GCGRA is an independent federal authority with exclusive jurisdiction over the regulation, licensing, and supervision of commercial gaming activities and facilities in the UAE. Its register is therefore the main public source for identifying approved operators and vendors in the market.

Operator Categories Remain Limited
The regulator’s public register identifies Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC, doing business as Wynn Al Marjan, as the country’s only listed land-based gaming facility licensee. The Game LLC is listed as the operator of the UAE Lottery, while Coin Technology Projects LLC appears under both the internet gaming and sports wagering categories.
At present, the regulator’s register does not identify any additional licensees in those 4 operator categories. That means the licensed operator side of the market remains limited even as the vendor side continues to expand.
The latest register update adds another supplier name without changing the picture on the operator side. The public list still shows a small number of licensed entities at the centre of the UAE’s commercial gaming framework.
What The Listing Indicates
VSTechnology’s inclusion on the register suggests Playtech now has a further formal foothold in the UAE’s gaming-related vendor landscape. The company’s corporate links and licensing history place it within a broader group of international suppliers already visible on the regulator’s list.
With 23 vendors now recorded and only a small number of operator licenses currently listed, the public register continues to show a market that is still taking shape. The addition of VSTechnology adds to that evolving picture without the regulator providing further detail on the scope of the license.
