The two fought back in 2013. McGregor (22-6), in his second UFC fight, beat Holloway (27-9), in his sixth fight in the octagon.
Since then, McGregor became an international sensation. He held gold in two weight classes, fought Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match, and has made millions of dollars. He’s also been involved in several controversies in and out of the cage.

«Notorious» last fought in 2021, losing two straight against Dustin Poirier, the last bout breaking his lower tibia. A fight against Michael Chandler was teased but never came to fruition. Now, the unpredictable McGregor looks to return to the cage with a bang.
