The co-hosts are through to the Round of 32 as winners of their section with a game to spare, having beaten South Africa and South Korea without conceding.
Czechia have endured a disappointing tournament so far, having led both their games but emerged with a solitary point. They lost 2-1 to South Korea before being pegged back to a 1-1 draw by South Africa.
As such, Miroslav Koubek’s side know only a win will do if they are to extend their interest in the World Cup into the knockout stages.

Mexico vs. Czechia predictions, betting odds
Czechia look to have been dealt a good hand here, needing a win against at team with nothing to play for.
But that neglects the Azteca factor, and a bunch of Mexico players keen to impress at a home World Cup. Thrown in the main issue of Czechia’s underwhelming performances so far and the expectation is that they’ll fall short as Mexico instigate an entertaining contest with the pressure off.
- Score prediction: Mexico 2-2 Czechia
