IGSA Announces New Members and Committee Additions

The International Gaming Standards Association is adding a new wave of members, a move that offers a glimpse into where parts of the gambling industry are directing their attention in 2026.

The non-profit standards body announced that several companies from different corners of the gaming ecosystem have joined either as members or committee participants. While the additions span traditional gaming infrastructure, payment technology and skill-based gaming, the mix is notable for what it reveals about the industry’s current focus: faster payments, technical integration, and new forms of player engagement.

Italian gaming operator and concessionaire NTS Network S.p.A. and technology developer TopRoot Technology Corporation have entered IGSA at the Vertical membership level. The two companies operate in very different segments of the market, but both are closely tied to the systems that keep gaming operations running behind the scenes.

NTS Network works within Italy’s regulated gaming sector, providing technical services, equipment management, and operational support for commercial gaming businesses. TopRoot, meanwhile, develops gaming hardware and platform technologies, including peripheral controllers, gaming motherboards, logical boxes, and integration services designed for operators and suppliers.

The committee appointments may be even more revealing.

Payment specialist Passport Technology has joined IGSA’s Emerging Technologies Committee, while global payments company Paysafe has taken a seat on the association’s Payments Committee. The participation of two payment-focused firms reflects the growing importance of transaction infrastructure as gambling operators face increasing pressure to deliver faster deposits, quicker withdrawals, and more seamless customer experiences.

Another addition points to an area of gaming that continues to attract industry interest despite ongoing debates over classification and regulation. THNDR, a company developing player-versus-player skill gaming products, has joined IGSA’s Online Skill Gaming Committee. The company focuses on head-to-head skill-based games designed to increase player retention and long-term engagement.

The expansion comes as IGSA continues to broaden its membership structure. The organization recently introduced membership levels intended to accommodate a wider range of gaming businesses, from operators and suppliers to technology providers working in adjacent sectors.

Industry standards groups rarely attract public attention, yet they often shape the technical frameworks that determine how operators, suppliers, payment companies, and regulators interact. IGSA’s committees serve as working groups where businesses that frequently compete in the marketplace collaborate on shared standards and best-practice frameworks.

Association leadership framed the latest additions as part of that broader mission, emphasizing collaboration across different segments of the gaming industry and encouraging new members to contribute their expertise through committee participation.

With payments, emerging technologies, and online skill gaming all represented in the latest intake, the organization’s newest members reflect some of the areas where gambling companies appear to be investing the most attention as the industry continues to evolve.
