Who won UFC White House fights? Full results for Topuria vs. Gaethje and Freedom 250 card

MMA has never seen an event quite like Sunday’s UFC card in Washington D.C.

At UFC Freedom 250, in honor of the United States’ 250th birthday, fighters competed with a historic spectacle surrounding them: the White House lawn. From the fighters’ unique entrances coming out of the White House, to the celebrities in attendance and the lightshows to add some flare, the event lived up to the hype.

Who won Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje?

The main event at UFC Freedom 250, a bout for the lightweight title between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, resulted in a major upset, with the champion Topuria retiring after the fourth round.

It was the longest fight of the night — the prior six bouts on the card all resulted in knockouts or technical knockouts in either one or two rounds.

Topuria was nearly ruled done by the doctor after the third round, looking extremely beat-up with a swollen nose and eyes. While the doctor was ready to rule the fight over, he and his team were  able to convince officials to continue.

Topuria did fight on, but only to a point. He and Gaethje continued to trade blows and takedowns in the fourth round, exhausting one another, and after Topuria sat on his stool to prepare for the fifth, the fight was called as his corner conceded.

Gaethje was named the undisputed UFC lightweight champion — and for the first known time, a full UFC card resulted in a 100% rate of knockouts.
