Polymarket Becomes Official Prediction Market Partner of Liga MX in the United States
Liga MX has made a new alliance with Polymarket and Genius Sports, whereby the prediction market provider will become the official prediction market partner of the premier Mexican football league in the United States.
Pursuant to the agreement, Polymarket will operate as the sole official prediction market partner of Liga MX competition in the American market. The partnership includes key league events such as the Campeón de Campeones game, an annual showdown between the two league champions from the Apertura and Clausura seasons, set for July 25, 2026, in Carson, California.
The agreement comes as another instance of converging sports and predictive sports betting markets. Eligible US citizens will be able to access the prediction markets associated with Liga MX beginning from the 2026-27 league season that kicks off in July 2026.
The agreement with Polymarket was welcomed as a novel way to boost fan engagement with the league. José Romano, Commercial Vice President of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) stated: “This partnership with Polymarket is an innovative way to connect even further with our passionate fan base in a market as crucial to the league as the United States, through digital experiences without compromising the integrity and credibility of our competitions.”

One of the key features of the new agreement is the involvement of Genius Sports as Liga MX’s official data, streaming, and integrity partner.
The data supplier will provide Polymarket with official sports data to help create, manage, and settle prediction market contracts involving Liga MX games. Using the official data, the goal of both parties is to ensure that all settlements are made based on verified and reliable information.
