After a four-year wait, World Cup action is officially back. Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina will kick off the second day of action for the most-viewed sports tournament in the world at BMO Field in Toronto.

Despite not making a World Cup since 1986, Les Rouges will be suiting up for their second-straight tournament. The Canadians previously had not hosted the World Cup either, but will have the luxury of playing in front of their home crowd during the group stages. Bosnia and Herzegovina are making their second-ever appearance at the World Cup, and first since the 2014 edition in Brazil. The Europeans were a late addition to the tournament pool after upsetting 2020 EURO champions Italy in a penalty shootout during World Cup qualifying playoffs.
While neither Canada nor Bosnia and Herzegovina has ever made it out of the group stages and into the knockouts, this year’s World Cup may give them their best chance. It can be assumed that Switzerland will be one of the teams to qualify to the knockout stages out of Group B, but Qatar should not be too much of a struggle for either of these sides. Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina should carry massive weight in determining how the group will finish, so both of these sides will be fighting for every point possible.
