Stake Launches World Cup Campaign Featuring Sergio Agüero and Football Legends

Stake launches a new campaign starring soccer stars for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. The brand ambassadors include Sergio Agüero, Patrice Evra, Iker Casillas, and Eden Hazard. “Everything is at stake” premiered on YouTube, Instagram, and X one week prior to the opening of the World Cup.

The video campaign features Stake’s brand ambassadors in various football scenes. For instance, former Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas confronts another patron in a club. Meanwhile, footballer Sergio Agüero helps another player in need on the field.

Eden Hazard is depicted as an intimidating football coach while Patrice Evra tattoos a fan with his famous phrase, “I love this game.”

The World Cup is one of the few sporting events that really gets everyone’s attention no matter where you are around the globe“, the company’s press release quotes Stake’s Director Jarrod Febbraio. “We aimed to bring to life the emotions, anticipation, and the excitement of this tournament. And what is even better, we managed to bring together some of the world’s most iconic soccer players!”

Combining both high and low emotions associated with tournaments, the campaign aims to unite humor, nostalgia, and the personalities of four globally recognizable soccer stars.

Each scene features elements typical for various aspects of the football community – be it amateur games or training, rituals and superstitions related to international tournaments, etc.

Stake Expands to Province of Buenos Aires and Mexico

The new campaign launch coincides with an announcement of Stake’s plans to enter the Province of Buenos Aires and Mexico as the next step in the company’s fast-paced expansion into Latin America.

Specifically, the company will operate under the license granted by the Provincial Institute of Lotteries and Casinos (IPLyC). Thus, Argentinian users will be able to benefit from the full range of sports betting and online casino games available via mobile-optimized software and tailored gaming content.
