Most people around the NFL believe this trade is simply a matter of time. The widespread expectation is that the star wide receiver will land in New England.
Patriots players are already discussing Brown’s arrival as though it is complete. Safety Kevin Byard and receiver Romeo Doubs spoke about it openly on camera.
The entire trade agreement could be unofficially finished right now. Both teams may be waiting until Brown passes a physical and the terms are submitted to the league office.

The Rams had medical concerns about Brown and chose to keep Adams rather than pursue a trade. That decision effectively removed Los Angeles from the conversation entirely.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter doubled down on his prediction that Brown joins the Patriots. Schefter reported the trade is likely to happen shortly after June 1.
A Patriots insider noted that trading a first-round pick for Brown would make sense. The compensation would reflect his value as an elite receiver.
