VERDICT: Victor Radley escapes all charges, Staggs faces two-week ban
He was placed on report for three separate incidents in the Roosters’ 38-24 win over Brisbane on Saturday night.

But Sydney Roosters enforcer Victor Radley has escaped any charges, or even fines, from the NRL Match Review Committee.
When the MRC charge sheet was released on Sunday afternoon — considerably later than usual — Radley’s name was conspicuously absent promoting the player himself to quip ‘is it April Fool’s?’ on Fox League.
It’s a major boost for the high-flying Roosters who are set to be missing two first-choice forwards for next week’s clash with the Titans following injuries to Lindsay Collins (concussion) and Angus Critchon (MCL).

‘How on earth did he not get sent to the bin?’
Prior to the release of Saturday’s MRC charge sheet, fans were overwhelmingly scathing of Radley’s seemingly lenient treatment by the NRL bunker and match referee Adam Gee — and the MRC decision will likely do little to ease the frustrations.
“How on earth did he not get sent (to the sin bin)? It beggars belief,” commented one fan on The Sporting News socials.
“I’m neither a Roosters or Broncos supporter but high contact, accidental or worse, always ends in the bin — if suspension eventuates the ref should be given a spell also,” added another.
Kotoni Staggs charged for Savala elbow
In the end, Brisbane centre Kotoni Staggs was the only player to be charged by the MRC after using an elbow to the back of Hugo Savala’s head when making a tackle at a critical stage of the second half.
Staggs is facing a two-week ban with an early plea.
