Apart from launching the official partnership with the national team, the brand continues to be the main sponsor of the country’s football club River Plate. The sponsorship deal signed in May 2025 involves placing the brand name prominently on the front of the club’s shirts.
The partnership will allow the company to be involved in two major football sponsorship projects in the most passionate footballing nation.
Sponsorship Revenue of River Plate Doubled in Recent Years
Earlier in the year, River Plate revealed that its sponsorship revenue had increased by a factor of two. Commercial deals account for about 30% of the total operational revenue.
According to River Plate officials and Betano representatives, the company’s support is one of the factors contributing to the growth of sponsorship revenues. Notably, the deal with Betano runs through the end of 2028.
At the event where River Plate presented the results of cooperation, representatives of the club were present, including Vice President Ignacio Villarroel and Brand and Business Director Lucas Cazenave.
Gaming Operators Expanding Presence in Football
Betting and gaming operators have been seen stepping up their sponsorship efforts for football clubs in recent years.
