The Vanderbilt quarterback likely dropped through the draft due to his height and character concerns, with not participating in many events also likely a factor, and was forced to be labeled an undrafted free agent.
Now, he just inked a three-year deal to join Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

Ravens QB depth chart
| Position | Player |
| 1 | Lamar Jackson |
| 2 | Tyler Huntley |
| 3 | Diego Pavia |
| 4 | Joey Fagnano |
1. Lamar Jackson
Jackson has been the Ravens’ primary starter since Week 11 of the 2018 season, and for good reason. The two-time MVP became the youngest quarterback to start a playoff game (21 years and 364 days old) during the 2018 AFC Wild Card game, despite losing 23-17 to the Los Angeles Chargers.
During his eight-year career in Baltimore, Jackson has established himself as one of the best dual-threats in the NFL. He has thrown for 22,608 yards, 187 touchdowns, and 56 interceptions, while rushing for 6,522 yards and 35 touchdowns.

2. Tyler Huntley
«Snoop» Huntley has been the Ravens’ primary backup for the vast majority of his career. Through his six-season career thus far, he has played five seasons for Baltimore and one with the Miami Dolphins.
His most active season came in 2021 due to Jackson’s injuries. Through seven appearances that campaign, Huntley threw for 1,081 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also rushed for 294 yards and two touchdowns. Huntley earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2023 as an injury replacement for Josh Allen.
3. Diego Pavia
On Tuesday afternoon, Pavia officially became the latest signed addition to Baltimore’s quarterback committee. While he will presumably sit behind Jackson and Huntley, the former Commodore is officially an NFL player.
During the 2025 season with Vanderbilt, Pavia threw for 3,539 yards, 29 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He also had an 87.3 quarterback rating, which was fourth in the country.
4. Joe Fagano
Just hours before the team gave Pavia a three-year deal, the Ravens signed Fagano as an undrafted free agent. He is slated to participate in the weekend’s minicamp with the team, but has an outside chance of making the roster with Pavia being signed.
During his senior season with the UConn Huskies, Fagano threw for 3,448 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just one interception (T-1 in the country). He had a 69.2 quarterback rating.
